It was a fun family I was able to photograph in the beautiful Sunny weather of McCall Idaho in the middle of winter. That means 5 degree weather and boy we went through our session so fast. Beautiful location, Beautiful people and fun times had.
So I lived near the beautiful mountains of the Big Horns where I would see at least 8 moose a day (no joke) and then I have lived out on the wind swept planes of Cheyenne. The Air Force took us to Cheyenne and we found our escape from the grind because we had our horse. If it wasn't for our horses I am not sure we would have liked our stay in Cheyenne much. They helped us to get out and enjoy the nature and beauty that was around us. We loved the antelope and geese and little bunny rabbits everywhere. We even got fortunate (I love storms so fortunate is my use of wording) to see a funnel cloud form just a few miles from us. Here are some pics of Wyoming during our stay. The first 11 pictures are from a trip near Jackson Hole Wyoming. I wish I had the pictures of when I lived in the Big Horn Mountains... Beautiful place to visit.
I love Southern Utah. It is like it's own state down there apart from the rest. It is different and rugged and rural. I love the red rock cliffs, the emerald water, the National parks and the amazing slot canyons that take you to the heart of the desert. There is beauty everywhere if you know how to look at it. I fell in love with the desert while I lived there. Every season brings its different masks of beauty. The wintry landscapes of snow, the springs heavy waters carving through the canyons, the heat of summer nights, the monsoon season of flash floods and the downpours of much needed rain and the beautiful fire of color in the fall. I love this place but especially because of the adventure, the people and the experiences had there.
Idaho is my state. I LOVE Idaho. I love the people, I love the towns, I love our laws (well for the most part anyway) but most of all the sights and smells. Like when your walking in the mountains and the scent of fresh pine is heavy in the air, or passing a farm with fresh cut hay, the wheat field almost ready to harvest the sunsets and storms. It is all so beautiful. I love Idaho and its diverse landscape and scenery. Enjoy a few pics that make me think of HOME!
I love springtime and see all of the birds that pass through for their summer destinations. The trumpeter swan came though our west central mountains of Idaho in early March. They were beautiful to see. They came and swam and bathed in the pond and then took flight probably because they didn't like our company on the shore line.
In the Great State of Idaho you can see many different landscapes but for me the mountains are home. Here is a little slice of my Heaven. I love living where I can wake up to the beautiful sunrises and be old fashioned and rock in a rocking chair on my front porch watching the sunset. I love being able to see all around me. God is good to us all by creating this beautiful world we live in. Enjoy!
My Family and I were given a great opportunity to live in Germany for a few years. The photography taken in this beautiful country really reflects the beauty that resides in Germany. Enjoy!
Imagine the lapping water against the side of the boat and the sound of paddles pulling the boat through the water. Seeing the windmills turn along the canals of the beautiful area of Holland. To know of the stories behind these little old boats would be priceless. So many to tell.
Keukenhof garden and park was an outstanding place to visit. It took us 6 hours to go through the park and you could easily spend more time there. Mid April brings a glorious atmosphere to this area of Holland that is something you wouldn't want to miss if you ever visited there.
In Haarlem we went and visited 'The Hiding Place'. A home of Corrie Ten Boom who wrote the book 'The hiding place'. It was an underground railroad per-say for the Jews during WWII. It is such a good book even though there was so much darkness and evil that surrounded her she never lost her Faith in God. She is an amazing woman. I would definitely recommend the book to anyone who has not read it.
Brugge is a nice little city full of beautiful buildings and sights to see. Only 25 minutes from the North sea and a beautiful surrounding makes this a great destination to visit if in Belgium.
Ostend was another coastal town with some fun architecture like the St. Peters church.
Blankenberge is a fun coastal town with a pier and tons of shops along the boardwalk. It has a beautiful coastline with plenty to do with the family.
Bastogne has the history of WWII and the battle of the Bulge. It was a remarkable spot to visit and hear more about how the battle took place. The Mardasson Memorial is a memorial to the Americans who fought alongside the Belgium people. This is a highlight to any trip if your interested in the history of WWII.
I loved the Swiss Alps and enjoyed my time camping in the Jungfrau area. We went mid June and it was perfect. There were waterfalls everywhere coming off the mountains. It was warm too. And there is a great Gelato place in Interlaken that is out of this world. This was my favorite scenic place to visit while in Europe and would highly recommend it to anyone. Message me if you have specific questions about the area that I might be able to answer.
