I love this time of year where the weather is nice and the horses have shed their winter coats looking sleek and shiny.
We are going to be moving here in just over a month and will be driving for many hours to get to the great state of Idaho. We checked with a veterinarian and he said that we will need to stop about every hour to combine mamma and filly so she can nurse. It is going to be a LONG trip. So we are trying to prepare our horses for the long haul.
We started with loading mamma in the front section of the trailer. She did not like this at all being separated from her baby and for good reason.
First off our Filly has a name and her name is Arcadia. She is our first official baby for our lifestyle and business we are wanting to create and we thought it fit. Her registered name will be a little longer depending on what AQHA decides on, but we are happy with calling her Arcadia.
