Tribute to our Beautiful Mare, Haidas
This last year has brought a lot with it. Over last winter our beautiful mare was becoming very ill and would not eat and we came to find out that she tore her ACL and was suffering from chronic pain so much that she was slowly starving. With our vets advice we had to put her down. She was a big loss to us and her filly. We will Miss Haidas Smart Chick and the sweetheart that she was.Training HorsesWe picked up a few new horses this last spring and trained them and sold them. One of our horses was sold back to its Original owner from 18 years ago. What are the odds? It was a fun reunion for them.
My husband also trained a few other horses this summer and had some adventures with that. The first horse he took on had a few loose wires and he got bucked off hard after a good amount of training. From that he received a concussion that put him out a few days but recovered well. We gave the advice to the owner to sell him and get a different horse which they did. We met some really neat people this summer from training horses and enjoyed the friendships made.
Now we just have our filly, Arcadian Dry Fire and a mustang/quarter horse we plan on training and selling in the future. Our filly is so fun to watch her grow and respond to us. We look forward to starting her training in the spring. We love our horses and the friendships that bond us for a lifetime.
